Course overview
The Basic Food Safety and Hygiene (BFSH) course is mandatory for all food handlers working in food businesses across Ras Al Khaimah. The programme aims to build awareness of essential food safety practices, reduce foodborne risks, and ensure compliance with RAK Municipality regulations.
The course is divided into two categories based on the nature of the food business.
Who should attend
General Category: retail outlets (grocery, supermarkets, roasteries, juice shops, specialty coffee, traders, kiosks, drivers, wholesale warehouses).
High-Risk Category: food establishments involved in preparation and cooking — cafeterias, restaurants, catering, hospitality, manufacturers, bakeries, food trucks.
