Who is required to hold a PIC certificate?
Dubai Municipality requires every food establishment to have at least one certified Person in Charge on the premises at all times during operating hours.
How is this different from the BFST?
The BFST is for all food handlers and covers basic hygiene. The PIC is for managers and supervisors, covering food safety management systems, HACCP, and legal responsibilities.
Is the PIC certificate recognised across the UAE?
